  • Jessica Schiel

    Jessica is a B.S. Psychology student at Purdue University – Fort Wayne (expected May 2026) and joined the Murphy Lab in Fall of 2025. Her research interests focus on attitudes toward people who experience poverty and economic marginalization, with a particular emphasis on the predictors and outcomes of these attitudes. Outside of academics, Jess enjoys spending time with loved ones, listening to music, and watching TV.

  • Jackson Prescott

    Jackson is a B.S. Psychology student at Purdue University – Fort Wayne (expected May 2026) and joined the Murphy Lab in Fall of 2025. His research interests center on issues related to social class and race in healthcare, with a particular interest in work that can inform policy and improve quality of life in the United States. Outside of research and coursework, Jackson enjoys spending time with family and friends and has been an avid video game player since childhood.

  • Chase Hunt

    Chase (B.S. Psychology, Purdue University - Fort Wayne; May 2022)‍ joined in Fall of 2025. Chase’s research interests focus on examining access to supportive resources, self-advocacy, and the role of belonging in shaping mental health outcomes and suicide prevention among LGBTQ+ youth. In his free time, Chase enjoys playing guitar, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
